As I drove up the long path towards Mythe Barn in Leicestershire I tried to imagine what the venue would be like having never shot there before. It didn't just surprise me but completely excelled expectations. Despite being slightly overcast, the stunning renovated barn looked incredible. I explored the pretty gardens and light, airy spaces where the ceremony and reception were going to take place before going upstairs to see Helen and her bridesmaids getting ready.
The girls took their role very seriously: helping Hels into her dress, fastening her shoes, popping the champagne (very important!) and more than anything, keeping a huge grin on her face!
Helen and Andy's ceremony was informal and happy, they were clearly each other's best friends and spent the majority of their "I Do's" laughing at each other or at their sons, Joe and James who were trying hard to steal the show with their cuteness!
The clouds in the sky were just a threat, meaning that everyone got to take advantage of the gorgeous Courtyard and gardens which had clearly been pruned to perfection for the Big Day. Helen and Andy chose to have a pastel, spring-colour themed wedding which looked incredible with the lighting and textures of the barn. After the Wedding Breakfast and speeches, all guests were moved back to the Oak Barn ready for an evening of dancing & celebrations with the Happy Couple!
What a amazing day it was ❤︎
