Let me take you back to an amazing wedding in early September! I've been so excited but nervous about sharing this one... It's a biggun! Let me explain...
I have known Becky (the gorgeous Bride!) for as long as I can remember, our parent's are good friends, we've been on countless holiday's, made up ridiculous language's, we grew up together and I feel lucky enough to be able to call her family SO it was a no-brainer when she asked if I would like to photograph her and Jase's Big Day rather than being a fully-fledged guest with the rest of my family and friends! I'd be completely lying if I said I wasn't feeling the pressure but What. A. Day!!!!
My photographing rather than just being a guest it meant I got to spend the morning with Bek and her bridesmaids (who I knew from school... And the infamous Hen Do in Dublin!), it meant I got to witness Geoff and Gill seeing their little girl as a Bride for the first time, I got a sneak peek at the beautifully decorated farm, I got to feel the nerves as I travelled to church with them, I got a front row view of the vows and speeches, I got to spend quality time with Bek and Jase in their first few hours of being a Husband and Wife and it meant I got to document it into memories for them to keep forever.
The farm itself looked incredible - you'd have no idea that it was a fully working environment that had been supplying Cheshire with the best spuds around all summer! The day was relaxed, emotional but most of all full of joy, fun and laughter: it summed up Mr and Mrs McGinty to a T! There was a prosecco-filled trailer that took the guests to the farm, garden games, the absolutely amazing Magic Simon, hilarious hay-bail versions of the Bride and Groom, Pokemon hidden in the cake, endless outbursts of "Happy Birthday to Geoffrey", a phenomenal cheese board (where I spent a LOT of the evening), a sweet cart made specifically for the Big Day (I may have also spent a lot of time near that too), a photobooth with every fancy dress item you could possibly think of and one of the most amazing firework displays to kick off the evening party.
I wish I could re-live this Wedding Day over and over: it was completely perfect and I'm still smiling about it, even now!
Thank you for asking me to be a part of it, you two. I couldn't be happier for you both ❤︎
