A magical, snow-covered castle wedding, Chateau D'Urspelt - Becky and Paul

I don’t know about where you live but my town seldom has a flurry of snow that sticks, and - to be entirely honest - when it does I get so nervous about falling over (I’m quite prone to a snow tumble) that I rarely venture out!

When I booked this wedding I was deliriously excited. It was in a castle. In a quaint, remote town. In Luxembourg. There were just so many hugely appealing parts to the day and being there, was truly better than I could have even imagined! I had no idea what to expect from Luxembourg as a country, if anything I kept just imagining the funny old town in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! I arrived at Chateau D’Urspelt a couple of days before the wedding, giving me a chance to explore the castle, do a recce of the surrounding area and an opportunity to get to know Becky and Paul more during their pre-shoot in the nearby town of Clervaux.

When I got to the castle there wasn’t a fleck of snow - although that certainly didn’t stop it looking incredible - but the evening before the Big Day it started to fall and by mid-morning the grounds and everything around was covered by a perfect sheet of snow… It could not have felt more magical and meant to be!

The ceremony was perfectly emotional and intimate with Becky and Paul getting married with sixteen of their favourite people looking on! Despite numbers being small, their Big Day didn’t go without - the delicious food kept coming, the wine flowed, and the dance floor was next level fun. I absolutely loved being a part of their day and feel incredibly lucky to have been chosen to go away with them and their lovely group!

An utter dream of a wintery destination wedding! XOXO
