A pretty pastel, gin-themed wedding, Merrydale Manor - Helen & Alex

Let me take you back to one of my first weddings of the year, the gorgeous Big Day of Helen and Alex at Merrydale Manor. I’d been so excited to shoot there - it’s a lovely new venue and I’d never been before and it absolutely did not disappoint!

My lovely friend and second shooter Jess spent the morning with the boys over at the log cabins at The Hollies at Delamere Forest whilst I photographed the girls getting ready at Helen’s Mum and Dad’s house. Once everyone was ready it was over to the prettiest little church in Whitegate, St Mary’s Church, for the ceremony and the most fabulous confetti tunnel.

The wedding guests all piled onto a huge red double decker bus and were transported to the gorgeous reception, whilst the newlyweds travelled in ultimate style in their Rolls Royce.

Merrydale Manor was filled with stunning pastel flower arrangement and decorations from the stunning Red Floral, candles were lit all over the venue with gin bottles used decoratively for both the table plan and the gift table - an idea I can totally get on board with.. Especially since it means you have to consume a lot of gin in order to do that!
