Ben and Kate’s beautiful wedding at Hobbit Hill was everything a relaxed countryside wedding should be - colourful, joyful, family-focused and full of personality from start to finish.

This wedding was especially meaningful for me to photograph because I’ve known Kate since we were tiny. Growing up together, our families spent many sunny holidays in France, so it honestly felt inevitable that the sun would shine all day for her wedding too. Seeing her marry her best friend surrounded by family, laughter and so much love was incredibly special to capture.

A Fun & Relaxed Hobbit Hill Wedding

Hobbit Hill provided the perfect backdrop for their laid-back celebration. With beautiful countryside views, outdoor space and a relaxed atmosphere, it suited Ben and Kate’s vision perfectly. Guests spent the afternoon enjoying garden games in the sunshine while the children, including Ben and Kate’s own, brought endless laughter and energy to the day. The whole wedding felt relaxed and natural, with everyone simply enjoying time together.

A Stunning Pink Ombré Lucy Can’t Dance Dress

Kate looked incredible in her unique pink and white ombré wedding dress by Lucy Can’t Dance. The dress perfectly reflected the colourful and creative feel of the wedding and looked stunning against the rustic backdrop of Hobbit Hill. The bridesmaids also embraced the relaxed style beautifully, each wearing different blue floral dresses that worked perfectly together while allowing their personalities to shine through.

Music, Glow Sticks & Festival Vibes

Music played a huge part in the celebrations, creating a fun festival atmosphere throughout the day and into the evening. Guests were given flower crowns, colourful glasses and glow sticks; which everyone fully embraced on the dance floor later in the evening. The combination of colour, music, sunshine, and laughter made this wedding such a joy to photograph and such a perfect reflection of Ben and Kate as a couple.
