And the award for the Bride's Biggest Smile in the Entire World goes to the new Mrs Butcher! *crowds go wild* Seriously!
Ash and Hannah got married last month at the absolutely gorgeous Sandhole Oak Barn in Congleton, Cheshire. It's not hard to see why they chose this as their venue: Hannah was able to relax with her bridesmaids the morning of the wedding in the nearby cottage whilst Ash and his Groomsmen were there to fight wasps off croissants (of which there were a lot as it was such a warm, beautiful summer morning), greet guests arriving and turn their pride-and-joy of a camper-van into a photobooth! The barn itself is so gorgeously flooded with natural light, the grounds are huge and green and it's all overlooking a beautiful lake - you really get a feel of calm there!
Ash and Hannah had booked me in early January to photograph their Big Day but I didn't actually meet up with them until two days before their wedding (other than bumping into Ash in the pub... Literally... There was gin everywhere!) I had hit mild panic stations having not actually had one conversation with them about the details of how the day was going to run but I have come to realise that that's more than okay when it comes to these two!
If I told you to imagine the most chilled-out couple on the planet, times that by one hundred and you can maybe understand these two. So calm, content but above all, utterly happy. Having been together since high school, they are so at ease with one another it's genuinely being in the company of two absolute best friends that just happen to be crazy about each other!
The whole day was so much fun, there was a live acoustic singer, mini burgers and fish and chips, a bouncy castle, the photobooth was in their own camper-van - which they have completely done themselves with the help of family and friends and also happens to be their means of transport for their Honeymoon around Europe.
My absolute favourite part of their Wedding was the First Dance Surprise that Hannah knew nothing about and Ashley had planned and even secretly asked me to stay longer so I could capture it - I'll let you get to that part yourselves!
Hannah smiled, grinned and laughed all day. This is no exaggeration. A huge beam from ear to ear that is infectious to everyone around her and I am so happy I was the photographer that they chose! I smiled all day, I smiled all the way home, I smiled when I was editing and I'm smiling now, remembering the gorgeous-ness of it all!
